Balance
A principle of art, it refers to the way the art elements are arranged to create a feeling of equilibrium or stability in a work.   Balance can be symmetrical (formal), or it can be asymmetrical (informal).

Baroque art
The art style of the Counter-Reformation in the seventeenth century in which artist sought movement, contrast, emotional intensity, and variety in their works.
