News - The Mission

Back in middle of 1999. a few of the more enthusiastic us had sat down and taken the liberty of forming a committee with only one MANDATE in mind – bring MANG’s you and me together again. A period we once spent so many years and cherished, a time for reminiscing and a challenge for showing up at the 2001 Crowning. Can you image it has been almost 25 years since you and I graduated! !!

Our mandate is to create a blackboard for us to communicate, to find/post activities and news and to locate those fellows that you thought were long lost. We wanted to bring the warmth and closeness once felt among us back again. It is now several month later and we have successfully implemented out first step of setting up our own – MANG’s web site. With the web site, we can now post up-to-date news, event photos and most of all; we have a contact list of you and me that is growing longer. We are also planning to send out news letters and event fliers in the future whether you are an expert in computers or not. Moreover, we have set up several regional representatives to answer your questions and organize up coming events.

To make our goals more achievable, we have started fund-raising champagne to facilitate the on-going maintenance of the web site and any postage or other administration costs that may result from our future promotional activities. As part of the MANG Society, we encourage all of you to participate in whatever way you can. Whether it be joining an event, notifying other classmates of any news, raising fund or helping committee members with their work load, etc. Our web site is preliminary and our committee is not perfect. We welcome all practical and constructive suggestions so we could continue to improve. Please support and participate and make MANG society shine brightly among others.
