AFC Board Members' Sharing To me, there are two compelling reasons for doing student work. The first is that our young people are too precious to be left to defend themselves against the evils of the present age. And the second is that it is a very strategic ministry in that young people are generally more responsive to the Gospel message before the cares of life set in. Lena Lau (Former Leacturer, Hong Kong University) With 25 years of experience in Student Minsitry, AFC is intimately familiar with issues confronting students. My prayer is that God will enable AFC to form strong partnership with parents, teachers, and youth workers to disciple students to be leaders for the 21st century. Pui-wing Wong (Financial Risk Manager) Campus Ministry is a clear mandate for AFC. But since today's students are vastly different from those of the 60's - 70's, we need to re-invent CCF to make it a more effective evangelistic ministry. Secondly, a new frontier of campus ministry would be the Chinese Scholars. Finally, students need good role models in how to be salt and light in the workplace! Clement Yeung (Family Physician in Winnipeg) Canada is a multi-cultural society, we should guide CCF to relate positively with other groups in the campus. I believe the future leaders should learn how to contribute to the Canadian society. As to how to reach the Generation X, I believe they respond best to story-telling, friendship and music.
