Summer's Eyes

Baby blue or silver gray
It's hard to tell anymore

Only a darkness in her eyes
No more smile from her brow

Precious time gone by
Have we shared our last kiss
We know the reasons why
Her smiling eyes for me I will miss

What is good in her world
Now that her smiling eyes have gone
Softly she cries
Sorrow is her song

Once my future…
Now those eyes have closed to me
I wonder what new person in her life
Will experience the smiling eyes once for me

No more sparkle in Summer's eyes
Nothing more can I say
No more reasons why
I will miss those smiling eyes everyday

What is in her world
Now that those smiling eyes are gone
