Colin French was born in 1979 in London, England. His love of poetry comes from listening to music from an early age when he would focus on the lyrics more than the music. That led to discovering The Doors & Jim Morrison, and then people like Blake, Poe, Ginsberg, Kerouc, Whitman & Milton to name a few. From then on, he was hooked to poetry. If we saw The truth in all it's forms Could we comprehend A life from dusk til dawn Would we still strive To reach the heights we crave If we were no longer Quizzical or naive Maybe it's sense To leave the stone unturned Just to feel the warmth Than have your fingers burned |

We seek him here, we seek him there He's neither tough nor neither fair He travels alone yet has many foes He cannot be found neither high nor low In chasing him we find many fears arrive In many forms, shape and size But at all costs we shall take the risk To find the one we call happiness |

Great minds alike think in time Great thoughts are stamped in gold Great words can trick the mime Great souls can never be sold Great men will be immortalized Great women will be blessed Great speakers will be hung then tried Great thinkers will be put to the test Great rulers will rule always Great lands will be ruled for time Great workers will always have a trade Great believers will be given a sign Greatness in each stale mind is blind To the creatures of our human kind |

Happy on the outside Cracked within A pride to hide Along with sins Happy on the outside Maybe not in No matter what I try Can't seem to win Happy on the outside Hide all the years That have been given To drying weak tears Happy on the outside Bolted and numb Nowhere to hide Nowhere to run |

It's one for the money and two for the time Watch your back, cause they'll bleed you dry Chalk it up as expenses and taxes Your paying for their cars and solar powered crashes The time is right, the time is here To open your mouths, end a career Believe in your right to talk and to teach It's not a crime it's called free speach No purchase necessary, no wrongs, no rights It won't effect your statatory rights Seeing is believing but in case your blind Don't believe a word, all lies are times To match the economy state of your finance 'We wanna help' comes the cry from the silence Like Robin Hood from the door of #10 Taking from the poor to give to his merry men The best things in life are free But it feels as if they are being taken from me The letter says we live in 'Democracy' It should read ruled by 'Hypocrisy' |

I wished my all My mind til blank I foretold the fall And the dream to which it sank I warned all ears To save their steps To confront their fears And march behind their threats But my words were sent To the air that climbs To the sky's i vent The fury of my times The fury of my land That expelled the myth Open speakers will be damned If they wish their wish To you, so still With words so fine I plead you kneel To the fury of my times |

I Need to feel accepted To feel complete I need to see the drum To believe the beat I wish i felt less hostile Towards myself And i still believe Love's more than wealth Sometime i look deep Into my soul and mind And i don't like The things that i find That's not to say i'm bad Just detached Maybe a bit insecure Well opposites attract |
|
It's fun for a while But all thoughts lose meaning In the swamp of notions Where words become nothing An interest, a zest, a quest For all that lies screaming As the voices appear And return to the void never speaking We all search for the calling That will un-stagnate our minds Re-emphasise our plot And send our pulses soaring So to the hidden reaches We seek our self destruction As a way to answer opinions And untangle our problems But so much of the time The prize lays waiting Before your eyes, gleaming In the light of your optimism And is there to behold Display and to treasure Unique as a voice, body Or the soul that inhabits |

Rub my eyes until my mind screams sore As i watch you move, my dear i'm in awe In awe, in love, in dream, insane Until the stars fall heavy with the passing rain And pastel explosions that repeat ever more If ever there was a rich man, to me he's poor For i am rich in a sultry, slinky treasure That causes pain and wonderful pleasure |
|
Listen loud and listen fast The world cries out with a screaming gasp No more sun, no more moon Just the ever blossoming gloom That radiates time and mentions guilt That drops face down on the world we built So sofisticated, so perfect, so beautifully wrong To me it's amazing we lasted so long After killing the cells that form the whole It's only right the sun demands it's toll For failures past, present and in design Where's Bruce to save the world this time? When the stars fall from the sky And hungry rivers end life dry And the animals it loved despair At why their life can be so unfair When we demolish each species name On the back of a man made food chain Take the trees for our own written word Killing beauty to publish the absurd Level the lands to graze more death Slicing the buns before they breath thier last breath As the fuse nears the end of the line Where's Bruce to save the world this time? |

I sensed your guilt, did you sense mine Maybe now we should take the time To realise the truths within Are not always pretty, you can't always win I never wanted money, i never wanted fame I wished for luck, all i got was pain A dark example of the cards of life If i fail once, i'll fail twice That's not to say my time is lost I've had the bill, i've paid the cost I've got a mind, body and soul I've never felt myself lose control Here today, gone to the dogs I've seen the plan and i feel robbed Still looking for reasons, how, when and why? You're born, fuck up, then you die! |
